Walking between Kathmandu and Tibet - Day Ten

In the morning we enjoyed a simple breakfast of tea Chai & Tibetan bread with honey and yogurt. I could never eat that heavy piadina normal density in my life. It takes a couple of hours later, walk to digest.

All Euro-friends lived in the lodge for a day or two. A typical American, I must be about. I am like a shark, if not keep moving to die. Silly, but true, people from a culture of sound bytes. Low doses, there areis reality. We need distractions.

Kirsten could probably have stayed at the hotel there forever. E 'was the most relaxed and was always very happy to hang out. We balanced each other well. His gentle manner was also prepared to respond to my need to change the landscape add to get everything ready and partner of trekking.

We have our cordial greetings around with our backpacks and saddle. We have been surprising, with strangers in the vicinity and could now call them all friends. This spirit of adventure is possible to unify quickly. We were all emotional on the heights.

As we leave the lodge and went on the road, I saw a lone figure seen standing in silence. E 'was the owner retired. In the hurry I left him. In fact, I had kind of taken for granted a bit, 'even though the lodge where we stayed was his home.

God! I felt so raw and unconscious. Fortunately, there is still time to show gratitude to our host. We turnedbowed in prayer and make hands Namaste. I thanked him for his hospitality and he nodded so noble. Then I realized what a simple and beautiful person she was. It was sad that I did not recognize him in the time we spent there. I did this lesson with me all my life.

The trail wound steeply through the woods across the river close Khola hurry. We passed through many different eco-system to switch on our decent Shybubensi Village. There were many oak trees and rice terracesPies.

The temperature is warming up as we moved into the sub-tropical valley. The fund was lotsa trees and tall grass. The herbs were often 6-8 meters tall. It 'was a nice walk in this late autumn day with the sun through the trees and the leaves crunchy under my feet.

My natural gate was lively, marching as long as my legs with the good old American military efficiency. Kirsten pace was very different. It was a Zen meditation, VipassanaWalker. We had a system before, when I pulled in front and then wait until they reach at irregular intervals in order.

At this altitude we were entering Tamang and Sherpa areas, so that the dress and villages have another look. Most of these strains are more likely to be Hindus, Buddhists, but not necessarily in Tibetan. Tamang were still strong animist practices a hybrid form of Buddhism mixed with shamanism Bonpo.

From time to time I would go at other people on the road. They were very different, but the most common were shepherds. At one point, a group of 4 men and we exchange a friendly "Namaste" greeting, but I was concerned.

Kirsten was a young attractive blonde from the field in Norway. The mountaineers are peaceful, respectful of women, and not aggressive ,.... but I have not had the opportunity to give. I immediately returned and pulled the men of the village, and met Kirsten.

In the usual way, Kirsten greeted with a Namaste ""perhaps the only word was that we had in common. The men received them in the same way, and politely delivered, with the exception of the last man.

Was somehow harmful Sherpa and shy young man softly whispered: "Namaste" Sexy Mama ", as he Kirsten. What was the funniest thing he could, "he said. It 'was so unexpected. I'm sure that some other passengers learned that the expression, because it is able to speak, others in English.

We laughed, thensurprised the half-hour after-life contingencies may be similar. This is what I live for the unexpected pleasure of being immersed in the strangest places.

The valley has brought us back where we lost before the landslide, it was a fairly level walk. It 'was so peaceful and beautiful that I felt in the Garden of Eden.

After about 4 hours we arrived behind the Village Shybubensi. It 'was a simple stone and wood, dirty place with a dirt road.

OnEdge of this settlement was a small Buddhist temple. It was made of wood and looked very old. The walls were covered with faded Tibetan deities. There have been many Buddhas and Manjurshri the protector of Buddhism, with a sword raised.

The temple was very simple low of inspiration for me. The old feeling was a silence. I felt it was many years of meditation and prayer through this place.

Five minutes walk past the Buddhist temple has brought us to the end of the village andthe way to Kathmandu. It was time for a cab. Leaving only one bus a day early in the morning, we would have remained in the village near the bus stop.

We have tried, had the best record in the city, which is one, the walls and a door for privacy. We were sleeping on benches in the mountains, tea houses for the most open and Kirsten and I have no time alone or privacy.

We found a place near the bus with some simple wooden walls and greater difficulty cotton bed mat. Seemedas a paradise for us. E 'was the most important attribute of a door that we could close and be herself. The toilet was still outside the bottom is like the laundry. No problem.

Well, for a restaurant meal was alittle easy Shybu near the lodge. Was still very much with only Dhal Bhat, but there were a bit 'more vegetables on the side.

With the meal they gave us these very small spoon. Took a bit 'to understand why we are not practical in view of this stupid spoon. When Ilooking around I noticed everyone else was just eating with your hands. In Nepal, most eat with your hand so that it is never really a question for the silver. It is rare to find a West l ', would be to eat there. The spoons were for the ingredients.

We finished eating at dawn and went to deposit our meager. The room was very small, only 8 x 10 meters. It 'was only big enough for the hard hand-cotton bed mat and little else. A small bare bulb hanging from the ceiling andThere was a window overlooking the bus stop and the dirt road.

Raw color wooden walls were thin and you can almost hear the breathing person in the room next door. In our case it was six guys in the next room. Yes, they were somehow all six Nepalese boys sleep in an area 8 x 10 meters wide.

I was deeply aware of the appeal directly with a few Western next door to them. I could think fast, the ear against the wall, hoping to capture a moment of downour private room. It made me very conscious of any noise.

Perhaps the experience was out of the pound smoked worse. As a meditator, I am not really be stoned, but it was evening and there was nothing in our room little to do. We were bored in some way so it happened that I have concluded that the majority of compressed ganja den Berg Young sold me.

Kirsten and I had been a long time, without intimacy, and this little hut was our first time in our 10Day. We wanted to make the most of it! It 'been a bit' awkward, as I felt our energy was to be really romantic enjoyed bonds of Nepalese boys next door. This is really me, be careful not to make noise, but not Kirsten. It was a wild thing wild as the night raged unabated. I just had to swallow my embarrassment, the real or imaginary voyeurs.
